Following are 2009-10 supplies lists for East Hill students

Kindergarten

Individual Supplies

  • Book Bag – choose one that your child can easily open and close by him/herself (No wheels please)

  • Lunch Box – if your child plans on bringing a lunch from home

  • Art Shirt – to be kept in school (please clearly LABEL)

  • An extra set of clothes to be kept in school – (send in each season)

  • ALSO – Stock up during the summer sales with glue sticks and 24 count crayons. Kindergarteners use LOTS of glue sticks during the year!

Optional Supplies (to be shared with the whole class)

  • Washable markers

  • Colored pencil

  • Small and large white paper plates

  • Brown lunch bags

  • Ziploc bags (gallon- and sandwich-sized)

1st grade

  • durable plastic crayon box

  • 24-pack of crayons

  • 24 No. 2 penicls (made in USA)

  • hard plastic folders (one red, one yellow, one green)

  • 6-8 glue sticks

  • bottle of Elmer's glue

  • children's scissors

  • art shirt (old shirt or smock)

  • Crayola Twistables Crayons 8-count (Mrs. Ehle's classes only)

  • one BIG smile

2nd grade

  • 1 large eraser

  • 2 wooden pencils and eraser caps - each week

  • 5"x8"x2" plastic school box to hold supplies in desk(no bigger )

  • crayons - a box of 24 is fine

  • white school glue - 4 oz. Bottle & 2 large glue sticks (clear or white)

  • scissors - small student size with pointed tip (Fiskar student scissors
    are the most durable)

  • knapsack or bookbag

  • (2) plastic folders with inside pockets - (No trapper keepers)

  • twist up crayons (10 colors) Available at Walmart

    You may bring in a snack to eat every morning around 10:00 a.m., since we don’t eat lunch until 12:20 a.m. If you prefer, you may bring in your own drink for snack time.

3rd grade

Mr. Eggleston’s Classroom Materials

  • large eraser

  • highlighter

  • *1-2 black permanent magic marker (fine-point Sharpie)

  • *2 wooden pencils and eraser caps each week (80)

  • 5x8x2 plastic school box to keep supplies in (no bigger please)

  • 4 durable folders with side pockets

  • 2 boxes of crayons – (24 count)

  • 2 white school glue – 4 oz. Bottles

  • 2 large Elmer’s glue sticks (cheaper brands do not work as well)

  • scissors – small student with pointed tip (Fiskar student scissors are the most durable)

  • 4 pkgs. loose leaf paper (wide ruled)

  • 2 dry erase markers

  • art shirt

    *We will be labeling all supplies on the first day.

Mrs. Monk’s Classroom Materials

  • 3 spiral ring notebooks (no perforated, tear-out pages please)

  • 4 pkgs. loose leaf paper (wide ruled)

  • 80+ wooden pencils (made in U.S.A. sharpen the best)

  • 2 boxes of crayons – (24 count)

  • 2 low-odor dry erase markers

  • old white sock or dry marker eraser

  • 1 white school glue

  • 2 Elmers glue sticks

  • art shirt

    *Periodically, you will receive notification of supply replenishment needs.

Mrs. Towse’s Classroom Materials

  • 1 black fine-tip Sharpie marker

  • hand-held pencil sharpener with a place to catch the shavings

  • 4 packages wide-ruled loose leaf paper

  • 1 large eraser

  • 80 wooden USA pencils (2 each week)

  • 5x8x2 plastic school box (no bigger please)

  • 2 boxes of 24 crayons

  • 2 large ELMER glue sticks (many other brands do not stick well)

  • scissors

  • 2 dry erase markers

  • old sock (to erase dry boards)

  • blue pen

  • art shirt

**(Only 1 pkg. of paper, 1 box of crayons, 1 glue stick and 1 dry erase marker are needed for the first day of school. The rest should be kept at home until your child needs them. If your child tends to lose or break materials, you may want to purchase more than the suggested amount while the back-to-school sales are on.

Miss Yurkewecz’s Classroom Materials

  • 4 packages loose leaf paper

  • 80 wooden pencils

  • eraser caps

  • large eraser

  • highlighter

  • 5x8x2 plastic school box to keep supplies

  • 2 boxes of 24 count crayons

  • 1 bottle school glue

  • 2 large glue sticks

  • scissors

    We have estimated how many of each item the children will need for the entire school year so you can stock up during the back-to-school sales when items are cheaper. Extra supplies may be stored in our child’s locker with his/her name on them.

4th grade

All fourth graders must have:

  • No trapper keepers or mechanical pencils!

  • Loose leaf paper (3/8" wide spaces) - in folder

  • No. 2 pencils—the best ones are Dixon-Ticonderoga (they last the longest)

  • Eraser - separate from pencil

  • Small bottle Elmer's glue

  • Small scissors

  • Crayons

  • Art shirt

  • Sneakers

  • Gym clothes - shorts and t-shirt to be kept in school

In addition to the above:

Mrs. Leverett

  • 1 large glue stick 1.27 oz. Size

  • 1 highlighter

  • 1 black Sharpie marker

  • 1 box 8-color, thin Crayola markers

  • 9 two-pocket folders (any design)

Mrs. Giarrizzo

  • 4 individual spiral notebooks or single subject (please, no notebooks with "tear out" pages).

Mrs. Nare

  • 4 composition notebooks

  • 2 folders with pockets

  • 2 pens any color

  • 1 thin permanent black marker

  • 1 pkg. colored pencils

  • 2 glue sticks

  • 1 highlighter

Students should bring all supplies to school on the first day of classes. Desks and lockers for storage will be issued at that time
