Businesses and individuals support OM World trip
A huge thank you to all

Not long after the East Hill Elementary Odyssey of the Mind team earned the right to compete at the world competition in East Lansing, Mi, parents and school staff were faced with a huge challenge—how to cover the $6000 needed to make the trip. (learn about our Odyssey of the Mind teams)

No one needs to wonder any longer. A long list of businesses and individuals have responded to the request by generously coming forward and donating toward the student trip.

"I have been overwhelmed by this outpouring of support," said East Hill Principal Ginny Nyahay. "It is even more amazing that people have been so kind in this difficult economy."

Two fundraisers also help offset the expenses:

  • Saturday, April 24—Car Wash at Ace Hardware in the Dutchtown Plaza, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Raised over $1000!

  • Monday, May 3—Dinner Theater in the high school cafeteria, 4:30-6:30 p.m. The evening included the performance that launched our students into the World Finals and a spaghetti dinner.
